The first International Conference on Mathematics and Mathematics Education (M2EIC) 2023 to be hosted in the Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) on June 24, 2023. 

The Master and Doctoral Students from Department of Mathematics Education, Faculty of Mathematics and Science Education, UPI, Bandung, Indonesia, will host and partially support the event.

Human intellect and logic are fundamentally based in mathematics, which is also essential to our efforts to understand the world and ourselves. Mathematics is an intrinsic component of science, part of its fabric, its universal language and indispensable source of intellectual tools. Reciprocally, science inspires and stimulates mathematics, posing new questions, engendering new ways of thinking, and ultimately conditioning the value system of mathematics.

Discussions over the range of research areas and theories in the field of science, mathematics, and education have been persisted since the discipline’s inception up until present. While diversity valued as a resource for rich scientific progress, it is also frequently criticized for the discipline’s lack of identity and concentration. 

The event aims to start a conversation on fundamental concepts in the field of science, mathematics, and education that transcend many study domains and viewpoints as one means of focusing on the issues of the discipline. One essential concept addressed by the M2EIC is transformation, viewed from many perspectives.

All interested academics and educators are cordially invited to submit articles on the subject of this group, in particular on its goals and scope, by the M2EIC organizing team. Any contribution that addresses queries, challenges, or problems concerning subjects may be submitted. We encourage submissions from all nations with various cultural backgrounds and welcome research proposals from researchers and practitioners.

Call for Presentation

You are invited to attend and participate in-person or virtually in the M2EIC which will take place at Auditorium of Faculty of Mathematics and Science Education, UPI, in Bandung, Indonesia. The conference’s goal is to provide chances for networking with experts in the disciplines of mathematics and mathematics education as well as for exchanging ideas and discussing theoretical and practical difficulties.
